I would like to point out that I have stopped watching
all ABC TV shows that contain the new ABC1 and ABC2 watermarks.
The intensity, size and position of the watermarks is utterly
absurd. Surely you realise that there are quality limits below
which consumers will not tolerate or buy any product. The
overall quality of ABC broadcasts with the new watermarks
is so low that it has become intolerable and I refuse to consume
it. I'm surprised and heartened by the large numbers of my
friends, family and colleagues who have expressed the same
sentiment.
I have been unable to find any official statement about the
new watermarks and I have been stalled and redirected when
I phone the ABC offices for information.
If an official statement about the watermarks does exist,
can you reply with the URL, or perhaps paste the text into
the reply.
I hope that any reply will not simply be a resend of the
3-point form letter that has been the standard reply for the
last three years: the one about identification, copyright
protection and branding.
The ABC board members must be made to realise that they are
cruelly and slowly killing their own customers. Perhaps they
don’t care, but perhaps this can change. I just want
my old ABC back, the one I knew and trusted for 40 years.
